About Attitudes!

Attitudes! is a political comedy podcast hosted by Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi. Every week we cover the news, LGBTQ+ issues, gender politics, internet chaos, niche cultural obsessions, and whatever deeply unnecessary discourse has broken everyone's brain this time.

Think of it as a place to stay informed without becoming unbearable.

Or at least less unbearable.

The news is exhausting. Ignoring it isn't really an option.

We started Attitudes! because we wanted a place where people could engage with politics, culture, and the increasingly cursed internet without feeling like they were trapped inside a cable news panel.

We believe information matters. We believe community matters. We believe laughing at something doesn't mean taking it less seriously.

Every week we bring our decades of experience in comedy, media, television, advocacy, and professional overthinking to conversations about the stories shaping our lives.

  • Sometimes that means discussing legislation targeting LGBTQ+ people.
  • Sometimes it means spending twenty minutes unpacking a Facebook Marketplace listing that feels spiritually dangerous.

Both are important.

Erin Gibson

Erin is an award-winning writer, comedian, and creator whose work spans television, publishing, podcasting, and digital media. She is the co-creator and co-host of Throwing Shade (later Attitudes!), a long-running comedy podcast focused on gender, politics, and LGBTQ+ issues.

Her television credits include writing, directing, and producing work across comedy and unscripted projects, and she is the author of Feminasty, a New York Times bestselling collection of essays about feminism, politics, and surviving modern life with your sanity mostly intact.

Erin brings deep political curiosity, sharp cultural analysis, and the unique ability to make almost any topic significantly weirder than it was before.

Bryan Safi

Bryan is a comedian, actor, writer, and host known for his work across television, film, podcasting, and digital media. He appeared as a correspondent on The Ellen DeGeneres Show's Emmy Award-winning segment That's Gay and has appeared in projects including 9-1-1, You, Modern Family, Young & Hungry, and numerous comedy and voice acting roles.

Bryan brings a lifelong commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy, pop culture expertise, and an extraordinary ability to discover internet stories that absolutely no one else should have found.

Press & Recognition

"They have that thing that is often such a big part of making a good podcast: a shared comedic language of cajoling and teasing that the listener is invited to feel part of.”

Why Membership?

We're building something we own.

That means no chasing algorithms. No trying to optimize ourselves into oblivion. No wondering whether a platform suddenly changed the rules while we were asleep.

Just independent media supported by a community that believes political engagement, queer joy, cultural criticism, and extremely specific opinions about grocery stores can coexist.

A user asks for help identifying a groceries show episode involving a founder's hiking death and a humorous scene with Bryan and Erin; the episode number is requested.

The world is still collapsing.

Come hang out!
